By Allan Fox: Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will be facing off on Saturday night, May 2nd for what some boxing fans see as the Fight of the Century. Whether it turns out that way will depend on what goes down side the squared circle on Saturday.
What many people what do know is as follows: How to watch the fight? They also want to know – when does the fight start? For American fans, they watch the fight on HBO, Showtime or DirectTV. You have to have a cable or DirectTV subscription to see it in the U.S. The fight will be shown on PPV on May 2nd, starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time/6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
If your interest in only in seeing the main event between Mayweather and Pacquiao, then you can afford to tune in a little later, perhaps 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT. You can’t really be too sure when the main event will start due to the two undercard fights that come before it possibly lasting long or going by quickly.

One option that some boxing fans might be interested in is going to a nearby bar to watch it with patrons. For that kind of thing one would obviously need to contact the bar ahead of time to check if they’re showing it or not. What you don’t want to do is to use up valuable time traveling to a bar and then finding out that they won’t be showing it.

The Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight will be going for $89.95 on standard definition (SD) and $99.95 on high definition (HD) on cable and DirectTV. While that’s obviously a lot green stuff for boxing fans to pay out, the fight is the arguably the biggest fight of all-time in the sport, so it’s kind of worth it to some fans. If you realize that the sport has never seen a fight of this magnitude before in terms of money making, you can then understand why the prices have been jacked up high for the fight. Some boxing fans might thinking that the participants are gauging the fans, but it is a great fight so you can understand them wanting to make every last penny that they can. The weigh-in has been between the two fighters will be costing boxing fans $10 per ticket to watch the event.
