By Gerardo Granados: Back in March 19 of 2005 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada; the big betting underdog and defending WBC International super feather belt holder Erik “Terrible” Morales W47(33)-L2-D0, faced a brave Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao W39(30)-L2-D2.
This bout took place only eleven years ago and it´s a must see for the young boxing fans; if there is any fight fan who hasn’t seen it yet then you better search for it and enjoy.
Through the fight Terrible outsmarted and out landed Pacman winning a hard earned unanimous decision with the score of 115-113 by the three fight judges. Did the reader was one of those clever fight fans who bet on Morales who was a 1/8 underdog?
On one corner the violent innate killer instinct of the Pacman was a genuine pleasure to watch, it was even comparable to the prime Mike Tyson or Roberto Duran killer instinct. It seems so long ago that the Mexicutioner was such a fearless warrior inside the ring, maybe back then he didn’t have so many distractions and his focus was only in boxing.
On the other corner a prime Erik Morales a boxer puncher with a high tendency to brawl, if you describe the “fan friendly style” you could use him as an example to describe the style.

Perhaps the reader can remember Morales switching to southpaw in the last round which might have allow Pacquiao to win that round.
The bout was so good not only because of Pacquiao old fighting style, but also for his opponent Erik Morales fighting style, before this bout Terrible only had lost twice by controversial close decisions to Marco Antonio Barrera.
Undoubtedly it was a fight for the ages and the two brave lions tried his best to knock each other out and not just tried to win by points. Styles make fights they say; and this fight proves it.
Do the readers remember the Morales decision win over Pacquiao?
