floyd74 By Babatis Banda: Ladies and gentlemen, this fight is undeniably near. It is going to happen. For those that have accused Floyd Mayweather of cowardice, we want to hear you after May the second. In my mind, Mayweather has already won the first round. He has already won the mind game too.

First and foremost, this fight happens with manny Pacquiao agreeing to full blood tests, something he had vowed never to buckle to. Secondly, Mayweather did well never to fall prey to arm-twisting tactics by the Manny camp to have him accept a 50-50 cut of the purse money. Floyd is the A-game and the percentages correctly reflect this.

Now, after May the second, I don’t expect every Floyd hater to shut up. In fact I expect a furry of emotions, of how the referee did this and that in favor of Floyd. How Floyd avoided Pacquiao in his prime. How Floyd ran from Pacquiao the whole night…blahh..blah..blah.

I know soon, in the pre-fight promotional shows and talk, how Pacquiao will try to lure Floyd to fight him toe to toe. In other words, Floyd should slug it out with Pacquiao. I say this because at some point Pacquiao mentioned how Floyd wouldn’t fight him toe to toe. It is stupid to choose for Mayweather how he is going to fight Pacquiao. Floyd will bring his A-game into the ring and win. Floyd is a boxer and he will box Pacquiao into frustration.

I know many don’t want to hear this, but let the truth be told. I have chosen for years to say this truth loud and clear. There is not going to be any phantom punch in this fight that is going to take Mayweather to the canvas for the first time in his career. There is a reason why Floyd has won and kept the crown and for so many years. This is going to come out again on May the second, like it has always come out when he steps into the ring.
