By Scott Gilfoid: Peter Fury, the trainer and father of unbeaten heavyweight prospect Hughie Fury (7-0, 5 KO’s), thinks the 6’6” Hughie is going to surprise people this year as he marches forward to try and eclipse former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson’s record for being the youngest heavyweight to win a world title.
Hughie says that he wants to beat the record of Mike Tyson’s where he captured a world title at 20 years 4 months.
Peter said on his social media site:
We set off for Milton keens tomorrow afternoon. For Sundays fight. Hughie will be on around 4pm as it's an afternoon show so take note.

I can’t wait to see who this so-called “names” that Peter Fury is talking about. I think if it’s a big name, it’s probably like a big name as far as 2nd or 3rd tier. Let’s be real here; we’re not talking big name as far as a 1st tier caliber opponent goes because that would be like sending Hughie to get ripped apart.
Heck, even if they put him in with an old big name like Evander Holyfield, I could see Hughie getting knocked out quickly by Holyfield, because Hughie only fights with one hand, he’s easy to hit, and he hasn’t fought anyone that could consider a live body.
Hughie has been in with a lot of stiffs and he’s shown that he pretty much just throws jabs and right hands without much variation all. If Hughie were to be put in with a real “big name” I think it would end with him getting slaughtered. He’s too green, too weak in the power department, and too one dimensional as far as his offense goes.
Hughie will be fighting this Sunday against a fighter to be determined. I’m not expecting anyone of quality given the caliber of his previous opponent as the quick way that Hughie is being brought back after having beaten journeyman fighter Ivica Perkovic by a 5th round stoppage last week on July 12th.
I see Hughie more as a future Nicolai Firtha type heavyweight rather than a future world champion. That’s actually a compliment because Firtha is a good 2nd tier heavyweight and there’s nothing wrong with being 2nd tier.
