Judah, 34, is the mandatory challenger for the Peterson vs. Khan fight. However, if Khan beats Peterson, Khan is already talking about looking to fight a unification bout with Garcia in his first fight after recapturing his lost IBF and WBA titles before chucking the titles away and moving up in weight to try and get a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Judah needs to nail down the Garcia fight as soon as possible so that he can beat Khan to it if he is lucky enough to defeat Peterson in their rematch in May.

Judah said to RingTV “If a fight with Danny Garcia makes sense, and my people get with his people, why not? He’s a good, young fighter…I’m game.”

A Judah-Garcia fight would be excellent because Garcia had problems with the 35-year-old Erik Morales last weekend on March 24th, beating him by a 12 round unanimous decision but taking an lot of head shots and suffering a nose injury. Judah has much better hand speed than Morales and better power as well.

He’s also a legitimate light welterweight and not someone who’s gained flab around his midsection and can no longer make super bantamweight. Judah is pure muscle at 140, and he’s be a real problem for Garcia to try and deal with. Garcia has handled fighters with good speed in the past, beating Kendall Holt recently. However. Judah isn’t Holt and is a lot smoother with better power. Judah seems to be fighting at a higher level compared to Holt and Garcia would be really tested in a fight against him.
