McKenna (McJack): World Boxing Organization (WBO) light welterweight champion Timothey Bradley (28-0-1 NC, 12 KO’s) who faces WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) on June 9 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas says he will not be intimidated by the 8 division world champion.

To bolster his position and his line of reasoning, “Desert Storm” as Bradley is known to his fans, says that Manny only has two hands and two feet just like he does.

Bradley was quoted by ABS CBN news.com saying:

“I’m going to tell you what makes Manny Pacquiao very, very special. Manny Pacquiao punches from the weirdest angles……shots you don’t see, alright.

“He’s here, he’s there, he’s underneath here, his body shots, so, and when he feints you, he wants you to cover up…..then as soon as you drop a feint and you put your hands up, he’ll run those combinations off of you; then spin around you, side step you, run those combinations off of you.”

Bradley went on to say that in spite of Manny’s stature in the sport he will not be intimidated by him. Bradley almost seemed to be trying to convince himself when he added that Pacquiao is not God and that he did not fear him or the crowd.

At 5’6” Bradley’s size is pretty close to the reigning WBO champion’s, although he will be moving up from light welterweight to the welterweight division when he takes on “Pacman”.

Bradley apparently has been emboldened by Pacquiao’s last two performances. Last May Manny won a unanimous decision over a reluctant Shane Mosley. Pacquiao floored Mosley in the 3rd round of that encounter and then got on his bicycle to run for the remaining nine rounds. At one point Shane begged his trainer Nazim Richardson to stop the fight for fear of suffering the first KO of his career.

Last November Pacquiao put on possibly the worst performance of his career when he eked out a highly controversial decision against his long time nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez.

Bradley has already signed a $5 million contract to take on Pacquiao. Although “Desert Storm” has already been installed as a 5 – 1 underdog, there are many boxing observers who feel that he is a live body compared to some of Manny’s recent opponents. For that reason Bradley is given a legitimate chance to defeat Pacquiao by some boxing fans.
