Image: Klitschko-Chisora: "I get excited by boos" - DereckBy Scott Gilfoid: For some odd reason British challenger Dereck Chisora (15-2, 9 KO’s) says he gets his kicks by fighting in hostile territory and just loves to get booed. Can you understand that? I guess Chisora has to feel like he’s in a one down position before he’ll perform.

But I hate to disappoint him, but the German fans won’t be booing him when he faces WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko on February 18th. German fans don’t boo visiting fighters. They’re very respectful and don’t give the opposing fighter a hard time.

The German fans are pure class I must say. But let’s pretend that they did boo Chisora 24/7 on February 18th, would it really matter in the big scheme of things? Let’s face it, Chisora is going to get royally thrashed whether he gets his rocks off from being booed or not on that night. Vitali is going to pound him like he’s peg.

Here’s what Chisora had to say during Monday’s London press conference on the subject of how much he enjoys hearing boos: “The more boos I have, the more excitement it gives me. I’m looking forward to fighting in Germany and I’m excited to be fighting for the biggest prize in this sports’ history.”

Man, that sounds twisted if you ask me. Chisora likes getting booed, eh? I wonder if he likes getting punched in the head as well? I sure hope so because he’s getting punched a lot in this fight, a lot more than he did against the broken-handed Robert Helenius last December. That’s the fight that landed Chisora this one.

He fought well enough against Helenius, who broke his right hand in the 2nd round and was in the survival mode for the rest of the fight because of it. Chisora would have been in a world of hurt if Helenius hadn’t suffered that injury and if they fight again, my thoughts will be proven to be correct.

Chisora isn’t in Helenius’ leg and it’s already been established that Chisora isn’t in Tyson Fury’s league. I think Fury is a better heavyweight than Helenius by the way, but both of them are better Chisora. Vitali is getting their old meat. That doesn’t seem right to me, like it’s some kind of upside down situation. Vitali faces the loser instead of the winner?
