Pacquiao scared or making excuses

Image: Pacquiao scared or making excusesBy Jose Mendoza: Now for a while we have heard middleweight king Sergio Martinez calling out Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Martinez said that he would take the random test that Mayweather has stated all future opponents of his must undergo before a fight can be made.

Now we all know that from what we hear in the media that Manny has supposedly accepted Mayweather terms but we can’t be sure of that because all we hear Manny say is “I agreed to the test” which means nothing if you haven’t said “I agree to random testing with no cut off dates”.

While watching a few interviews of Martinez, he goes on to say that if the money is right then he is willing to go down to as low as 150 to get a fight made with Pacquiao for the title. Now keep in mind Martinez fights at 160 but was going to come down to 154 but made even bigger sacrifice and said 150.

So tell me why would Manny decline and say that if Sergio can make 147 then the fight can be made. That to me was just right down dumb, stupid and made no sense for Pacquiao to suggest that.

Should we go back to the Antonio Margarito fight where he had 17 pounds on Manny and he destroyed this guy, so what’s the difference with Martinez.

I’ll tell you the difference, Martinez can be aggressive, he has power, he has boxing skills, he has defense and speed so there’s no way team Pacquiao is going to risk there prize fighter against somebody so dangerous.

I say if he’s looking for an easy way out then he’s better off accepting the random testing from Mayweather Jr. and either going to a decision or getting out classed rather than suffering a brutal KO like the one Paul Williams received.
