Image: Booth: Wladimir won't be able to predict what Haye will be doing on 7/2By William Mackay: Adam Booth, the manager/trainer for WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s), believes that his fighter will he much too hard for IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) to predict on July 2nd in their fight at the Imtech Stadium in Hamburg, Germany. Booth thinks that Haye’s hand speed and in his unpredictable attacks will be the difference in the fight.

This suggests that Booth sees this as a bout which Haye needs to knock Wladimir out in order to win, because you can’t win a decision by being unpredictable all night long. By saying that Haye is unpredictable, Booth is basically using code language to say that Haye will be looking to land pot shots when Wladimir least suspects it. This means that Haye won’t be throwing a lot of punches and will be looking to take Wladimir out with a small number of pot shots.

Speaking with Sky Sports News, Booth said: “Wladimir does not know who David Haye is. Believe me when I say he will not be able to predict what is going to happen on July 2nd.”

If Wladimir is able to keep out of range of Haye’s desperate homerun punches and take the few that leak through from time to time, Haye will be in trouble. He can’t out-box Wladimir and he doesn’t really throw jabs. Even if Haye did throw jabs, his arms would be too short for him to consistently land them against the much longer-armed Wladimir. Haye would be hitting a lot of air while getting tagged by Wladimir’s shots.
