Possible moves for Mosley to make if he whips Pacquiao

By Allen Hmiel: Sugar Shane Mosley (46-6-1 with 39 KO’s as a Pro and with 266 amateur fights) has a big decision to make. After Mosley dispatches the smaller Manny Pacquiao in their May 7th bout what does 39-year-old legend do career wise? Does he retire on Top which would be a great way to go out as a retired champion. Or does the long time warrior continue his epic quest to be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time?

Mosley is driven by an inner determination to prove he is one of the best fighters ever to enter a ring. By redeeming himself with a huge victory over the under sized smaller Manny Pacquiao can Shane just walk away and hang his gloves up forever as he approached the big 40. What else would there to prove for the long time champion and legendary warrior?

As Pacquiao would surely clamor for a rematch, unless Shane really pounds the little guy and KO’s him what would be there for Shane to continue on with a career where his skills are fading and his desire to fight is waning? Possibly money could be a factor as a rematch with either the battered Pacquiao or the elusive almost hermit like Mayweather would bring mega millions to the Bank of Mosley. A redemption battle with Mayweather could be a possibility but a very tough fight as Floyd probably is by far the world’s greatest fighter. A Pacquiao rematch will be demanded but is not necessary as the fake mystique of Pacquiao would have been exposed with the Mosley win in May.

Shane could take the Bob Arum Pacquiao non dangerous career plan and fight light hitting patsies and set ups for another few years as sure wins like Manny has done. Fighting guys like Matt Hatton or even Marquez or Ortiz or possibly even the used up Ricky Hatton. Shane will beat Manny on May 7th fairly easily and possibly knock the little guy out. And collecting a nice 7 figure pay check will influence Shane three ways-

1. Keep the money coming with easy fights
2. Defend against either Mayweather or Manny
3. Retire on Top as a legend.

If I were Shane I would go out on Top with my reputation intact, my respect back and my bank account filled. Big decisions coming up for Sugar Shane after he displaces and pops the plastic bubble stigma of the over inflated reputation of the over-hyped Manny Pacquiao.

Watch what happens on May 7th as the American Legend Mosley destroys and stops the over extended stay as Champion of the smaller Manny Pacquiao.
