Pacquiao v Mosley: Shane says to Manny “You know you want to knock me out”

By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao, sporting a Justin Bieber haircut at today’s press conference in Las Vegas, failed to come out and say he wanted to knock out Shane Mosley on May 7th when they meet up in what could be a huge pay-per-view bout.

When asked if he wanted to knock Mosley out, Pacquiao, acting modest, said “If the knockout happens, it happens.” Mosley then jumped in to bail Pacquiao out, saying “Come on, Manny. You know you want to knock me out. It’s okay, I want to knock you out too.”

Pacquiao obviously needed some help in getting the proper hype going for the press conference and playing the nice politician just didn’t seem to be the right recipe to get fans interested during the press conference.

Pacquiao has got what should be the perfect opponent for him to get a knockout on May 7th, because Mosley looks like a shell of what he used to be. That might be one of the reasons why he was selected to be Pacquiao’s opponent because he wasn’t having much luck when he was fighting at the top of his game.

In a question that Pacquiao again didn’t seem to handle very well, he was asked by a fan “Would you please for everyone just take the test?” The fan, of course, was referring to the blood testing to detect performance enhancing drugs. Pacquiao answered back “You have to believe that my boxing skill’s natural. I am strong. I do not take medicine. I’m all natural.” The problem is many boxing fans and some boxers believe differently. Pacquiao could have really helped himself if he had said he was ready to take the blood tests at a moments’ notice instead of leaving it to just trust.
