Pacquiao-Mosley: How will Manny take a humiliating loss to Shane?

By Allen Hmiel: When the little dynamo Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2) finally meets his master and loses badly to Sugar Shane Mosley (46-6-1) on May 7th will he be able to ever go home again to the Philippines? The proud Pacquiao, the hero to many millions of poor Philippians often worshiped as their national hero will actually be faced with a huge dilemma when he loses to the powerful Shane Mosley.

Held high on a pedestal and worshiped as a king, the defeated and deflated and now humbled Pacquiao will be burdened with disgrace and humiliation once he loses it all in the defeat to the almost 40 year old Mosley. Has the time come where the Pacquiao mania finally ends? Will it come in a shocking Knockout from the hands of Shane Mosley?

Will the proud devoted followers of Manny Pacquiao be able to handle their idol losing in front of millions watching worldwide. Will the disgrace of losing be too much for Manny and his devoted fans to be burdened with. Will the shame of possibly being knocked out and put to sleep be over bearing to his million of fans? Can Manny handle a devastating loss?

After being hand fed carefully chosen hand picked beatable opponents the past few years will the power of Shane Mosley finally bring an end to the Pacquiao charade? Mosley is coming to rumble.

How will the Pacquiao fans back home in the Philippines handle a huge defeat? Will they riot and run amok in the streets of Manila? Will the Pac fans cry and hang their heads in despair? Manny is fighting not only for himself but a country that doesn’t have a lot to root for. Pacquiao is the light and the hope for all the people who put their trust and love in their national boxing hero.

Can Manny go back home as a loser after all the hype and buildup that he is invincible and unbeatable. Can a dethroned national hero still walk the streets and be respected and adored? Manny has huge problems ahead of him after Shane does what many think he will do in knocking the smaller Pacquiao out cold.

Come May 7th will Manny be faced with his biggest challenge ever, after losing? Trying to return home not as a hero but as a dethroned champion and with a tarnished reputation. How far is the fall from the penthouse going to be for Pacquiao? Hope Manny has a parachute for the ride down back to normalcy.
