By Dave Lahr: If you wondering if and when WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao would decide to cut his Justin Bieber lookalike hairstyle, it’s not likely going to be happening soon, according to Michael Marley at examiner.com. Pacquiao seems to be set on keeping the hair style, which he says isn’t patterned after the 16-year-old Canadian teenage teeny bopper singer Justin Bieber. Pacquiao says his hero is Bruce Lee, but his hair doesn’t look like Lee at all to me.

The odd thing is, Pacquiao’s hair style doesn’t look much like the one that was previously worn by Bruce Lee during his lifetime. Lee never had a long sweeping bang that covered one of his eyes the way that Pacquiao does. Pacquiao’s hair style looks like a carbon copy of Bieber. However, Pacquiao says that Bruce Lee is his idol when questioned about whether he’s copying the 16-year-old Bieber.

Marley spoke with Pacquiao recently, and he said “I had short hair against Erik Morales [in the 1st fight in 2005]. Then I had short hair against [Juan Manuel] Marquez the last fight.”

So it looks like Pacquiao is superstitious about his hair it seems. Is Pacquiao admitting that he should have lost the Marquez fight the second time around? Pacquiao won the fight by a controversial 12 round split decision in a fight that many boxing fans felt that Marquez should have won. It wouldn’t have mattered whether Pacquiao was wearing his Bieber look alike hair style on that night, Marquez had his number. Pacquiao could wear his hair down to his shoulders and still have problems against Marquez. The guy has Pacquiao’s number, which is probably why they haven’t fought him since.

But as far as Pacquiao’s hair goes, it looks like he’s going to be wearing the Bieber look all the way up until the fight. I wonder if Pacquiao will at least cut some of it so he’s not fighting blind with that one big bang flopping in front of his face all the time, blinding him from Mosley’s shots. Can you imagine that? Pacquiao trying to fight and that big Bieber bang flopping from one eye to the other, cutting off Pacquiao’s vision, and causing him to get ripped apart by the 40ish Mosley. Here you got an old guy to fight, the perfect opponent for a nice easy win and then Pacquiao potentially blows it by coming into the fight with a long Bieber lookalike hair style that blinds him while fighting.
