Image: Haye-Klitschko: Still no official word whether the fight will happenBy Scott Gilfoid: Earlier today, the manager for IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko was flapping his gums about a fight between Haye and Wladimir a possibly to take place in Europe in one of the stadiums, but we’ve heard it all before and it’s getting old. These two fighters have been yapping at each other back and forth for three years and it’s tiresome already.

You don’t know who to believe for why the fight hasn’t been made. Both of them are at fault, because the fight could have been made ages ago if Wladimir had waited for Haye’s back to heal after he asked for more time in June 2009. Haye also is to blame as well, because he’s seemed reluctant at times to get in the ring and the old guys he’s been facing since moving up to the heavyweight division speaks volumes. It just makes you think he’s a fake, another paper champion who builds his record on the backs of guys nearing 40.

Wladimir is really a piece of work with his decision to take a tune-up against Dereck Chisora on April 30th, just two months before a mega fight with Haye on July 2nd. Can’t blame Haye for thinking that was a bad idea and pulling out. That move by Wladimir reeks of someone that doesn’t want to take the fight with Haye. If you want the fight with Haye, why fight Chisora? That seems weird. I smell fear.

By the time this fight does happen, most of the people will have long since been bored with these two. It’s like the back and forth games with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. It’s not even interesting anymore.
