Image: Mosley will beat PacquiaoBy Allen Hmiel: Shane Mosley looked terrible against Floyd Mayweather and got embarrassed and outclassed terribly. But that happens when you fight a superior fighter much better and quicker than you are. Mosley got beat by a superior fighter the world’s best in Mayweather and there is no shame in that happening. Now Shane can earn his redemption by beating the beatable Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao is not Mayweather and is not any where near the all around fighter Floyd Jr. is. Mayweather is in a class by himself and Bob Arum understands this.

Shane will prove he is still a viable contender by outpointing the smaller overrated Pacquiao in their May 7th encounter. And Shane will beat Manny quite easily setting up a rematch between the two which Manny should win to even up the series. What happens is that Floyd Mayweather will be shut out of his greatest opportunity of ever meeting Manny Pacquiao and reaping the huge 20+ million dollar payday a Pacquiao fight will return. Pacquiao’s handlers know that Manny isn’t in Floyd’s class and would be beaten by Floyd Jr. A Mosley-Pacquio trilogy is quite possible drawing the three fights out over the next two years. Who knows what would happen to Mayweather in that time span. There is no fight out there remaining where the troubled Mayweather could even hope to see a Pacquiao like purse.

Mayweather will be shut out completely from his”Money” fight with the small Filipino with all the belts and the over hyped reputation. Pacquiao will contemplate retirement and pursuing his rising political career and Mayweather will still be floundering around still overwhelmed in legal issues and creating headlines outside of the ring. Manny’s shrewd managers have this planned out and have no intention of putting their out manned fighter in with the superior skills of Floyd Jr. A Mosley/Pacquiao boxing mega trilogy is just what the Arum/Roach team needs. They protect their fighter from getting destroyed by Floyd and they also keep the money rolling in with Mosley as their opponent all under the same promotional management team of Top Rank.

Watch how this plays out with Mosley upsetting Pacquiao on May 7th and a rematch scheduled for 6 months later and then the final bout 6 months or so after that. All the while you will see Floyd on the outside looking in(hopefully not behind bars) wishing he would have taken the fight of a lifetime.
