Image: Let's not forget Virgil HillBy Gerardo Granados: Ladies and gentlemen on this corner wearing black trunks Virgil “Quick silver” Hill, former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion, a fighter who belongs to a different boxing era. Hill was a great boxer, durable, great chin, good speed, good footwork, great overall defensive skills, also had a long and solid boxing legacy. Today turns forty seven years old but it seem like yesterday when he still battle inside the ring.

Virgil Eugene Hill was the 1984 middleweight Olympic silver medal, debuted as a professional boxer on November of 1984 by TKO2 defeating Arthur Wright, his last bout was against Firat Arslan in Germany in November of 2007 against who he lost via UD12.

Let us not forget the old fighters, one who was able to battle in 29 titles fights, one who fought in three different decades in a span of 23 years as an active prizefighter on the top level of competition; a boxer who became champion for the first time at the age of 23 years old (WBA World light heavyweight) and conquered a major title for the last time at 42 years of age against younger Valery Brudov (WBA World cruiserweight).
