Will Pacquiao fight any harder because Margarito hurt Roach’s feelings?

Image: Will Pacquiao fight any harder because Margarito hurt Roach's feelings?By Dave Lahr: I hate to break this to all the Manny Pacquiao fans but it doesn’t matter a bit that Antonio Margarito kicked some dirt on his loving trainer Freddie Roach recently by mocking the way he moves. Pacquiao won’t be able to fight any harder than he already is and if he goes over board just to try and get revenge for Roach, he’s just going to get knocked out that much quicker by Margarito. You see Pacquiao is just too small to hang with a warrior like 5’11” Margarito, and even with Pacquiao’s handicapping 150 pound catch-weight to help him try and be competitive, he’s still just too small for Pacquiao and is going to get his backside handed to him this Saturday night at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington.

Pacquiao can only win by standing and trading with Margarito, and he can’t win that battle because he doesn’t have the size. I’ve literally watched hours and hours of Pacquiao’s sparring sessions, and I can’t see him standing any chance in this fight. Pacquiao no longer has the legs working for him and can only stand in front of his opponents trying to beat them by throwing volume punching in the way of weak and fast shots.

Those kinds of punches will have no effect in stopping are hurting Margarito. It takes a bigger puncher than Pacquiao to do damage to Margarito, because he’s used to getting hit by guys his own size, not fighters that are blown up bantamweights like Pacquiao. Margarito is going to walk through Pacquiao’s punches and is then going to batter him to the head and body, hurting him over and over again.

Pacquiao can’t take body shots. Even Robert Garcia, Margarito’s trainer, can’t handle Margarito’s body shots and he’s got two body pads on when being blasted by him. Pacquiao is going to get taken out quick with Margarito tagging him with shot after shot. At least Miguel Cotto was smart enough and young enough to run from Margarito for 10 rounds before getting taken out in the 11th. Pacquiao can’t and won’t do that. He’s an old 31, believe me.

He’s going to be forced to stand in front of Margarito and take his beating like a person standing in front of a huge tank. Margarito is going to run Pacquiao down like he’s a pipsqueak. And all that useless muscle that Pacquiao has put on his tiny frame won’t serve him any good whatsoever, because he’s not gained any power with it. His trainer Roach is kidding himself if he thinks Pacquiao can trade with Margarito, because he can’t. That’s why Roach is talking so fast and furious with his insults of Margarito.

Roach is hoping to psyche him out anyway he can to try and gain any edge he can to keep Margarito from destroying Pacquiao. This is going to be fun to watch. Pacquiao will get beaten to a pulp and Roach is going to be sick watching it. This would have already happened had Pacquiao been matched against someone who at least could still fight and hadn’t taken a serious beating right before fighting him, like Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton and Joshua Clottey had.
