Pacquiao-Margarito and Haye-Harrison on Saturday night

By Daniel Tagg: Only a couple of days away now from an exciting weekend of boxing, David Haye vs. Audley Harrison and Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito bouts.

Haye is still saying he will retire at the end of next year, which for Haye basically means one maybe two more fights. I can’t see him fighting either of the Klitschko brothers. So who’s left for him to fight that wont give him much trouble? Perhaps any British heavyweight or maybe Albert Sosnowski. My head is saying Haye will fight bums and use the Klitschko’s name to get publicity and then retire, but my heart wants him to face his soon to be mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev. Haye then can fight David Tua and if he can get past him, then face Wladamir and finally Vitali. This would be an ideal situation but since its not likely to happen then all we can do is hope.

The Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight will be cream of the crop, two great warriors giving it all they can until one of them is lying unconscious of until the bell rings for the last time. Bob Arum has been talking about the next possible opponents for Manny, This has and will do cause some friction among fans and fighters alike, so many fighters and so few time. Manny should be going back down to 140lb/147lb for his last fights.

First there is Margarito standing in the way. Margarito is a Mexican and as one he will never back down and will push himself to the maximum limit. what will happen to Margarito after the fight? I can see him having a few more fights and then retiring. Manny has movement, speed and power going for him. Margarito has the greatest chin around today (second in history to Kirk Douglas). Manny will be moving and hitting him with more hard shots than Shane Mosley did. He will be harder to hit than Mosley and he hits harder than Mosley. How can Margarito win? By cuts or another obscure injury, but either way the Mexicutioner will have another victim.
