Both of the Klitschko brothers have offered Haye a 50-50 deal of the revenue for the fight, which is a good for Haye because he’s only now cutting his teeth in the heavyweight division.

Haye still isn’t showing much interest in fighting the Klitschko brothers for some reason. In an article at Sky Sports, Wladimir says “He [Haye] is running out of time because he said he wanted to retire at 30 or 31. I don’t know what his plans are but he will run out of time, and respect first of all.”

Haye has been saying that he plans on retiring by his 31st birthday. He doesn’t want to fight beyond that time frame, perhaps fearing that he might stick around too long like a lot of heavyweights have done in the past and start taking losses and getting beaten up. Haye is 29 now, and will be turning 30 in October.

This means that Haye only has 14 more months left in boxing career to fight both of the Klitschko brothers and retire having unified all the heavyweight titles, which he said was one of his goals before he hangs up the gloves.

As of now, Haye still hasn’t chosen who his next opponent will be or whether he’ll fight again this year. It’s likely that Haye will choose to fight someone in November or December but he’s already been out of action for four months since stopping 38-year-old John Ruiz in the 9th round last April.

Wladimir seems fed up with Haye, tired of him talking a lot but not backing it up in the ring. Wladimir says “The guy [Haye] talks a lot but there is no action. He doesn’t follow through with everything that he promises. He’s actually sitting back somewhere in England or Cyprus, where he also lives, and not doing anything. I’m very disappointed about David Haye. I’ve actually had enough of him.”

Haye got a big payday in his fight against Ruiz and he’s likely enjoying the big money that he earned in that fight. Haye has made enough to where he never has to work again off of just the Ruiz fight. It’s understandable that after finally making the big bucks, Haye isn’t exactly feeling eager about the prospects of getting back in training and fighting the best heavyweights in the division with the huge Klitschko brothers. Haye doesn’t even need to fight the Klitschko brothers to make big money. He can milk his WBA title all the way up to his 31st birthday against the likes of Ruslan Chagaev, Tomasz Adamek and Audley Harrison. Those are all fights where Haye could make a lot of money without worrying about losing his title.

Wladimir says “”he speaks a lot, saying ‘yes, I want it. But then the deal wasn’t good enough, his shoes were too small, or his back was injured, or whatever else he is going to create. ..It’s not only his financial interests; there are boxing fans out there and he owes this fight to them especially.”
