Samson defends WIBA title against Lin on July 28th

By Boxing-Boy: Samson Tor Baumad, aka Samson Sor Siriporn, the first boxer in the world who has captured the world champion (WBC female world light flyweight title) while still a prisoner in 2007, is scheduled to fight against 19-year old Chinese boxer Liu Da Lin, in her first defence WIBA world min flyweight champion in July 28, 2010.

Samson captured the vacant WBC female world light flyweight belt by impressive unanimous decision win over the Japanese model and boxer Ayaka Miyano on April 3, 2007 to became the first world boxing champion while still a prisoner. That fight is her second world title challenger after failure to capture the vacant WBC female world strawweight title by a unanimous lost to Nanako Kicuchi of Japan in 2006. After this victory, she was released from prison earlier than the original punishment.

In 2009 she moved up to flyweight division and captured the vacant WIBA international title by TKO9 over the Swedish, Klara Leiva, in April 10. But this year she desired to move down to 105 lbs. division and become a new WIBA miniflyweight world champion after won over the Filipino Jujeath Nagawa by an exciting TKO4 in May 18.

In the same function, 16-year old Thai fighter Hongfah Tor Buamad, formerly Namfon Sor thalerngsak, who is a currently WIBA youth and WIBA international flyweight champions and Tamami Tor Buamad, aka Tamami Morimoto, of Japan will fight in non-title bouts. Those opponents will be announced as soon as possible.
