By Eric Thomas: According to Sporting life, the venue for the April 17th stage 2 Super Six bout between World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch and former WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler still has yet to be decided on. Previous reports had the fight taking place in Herning, Denmark at the MCH Messecenter Herning.

However, there are reports from Kessler’s promotional company Sauerland that they haven’t decided on the exact venue for the fight. This is of secondary importance, though, to the fight itself. This should be an exciting fight with two fighters that are closely matched in talent. Froch won his first bout of the Super Six tourney against Andre Dirrell by a 12 round split decision, while Kessler was defeated by Andre Ward by an 11 round technical decision.

Froch, 32, previously had been looking to have the Kessler fight take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, because this would make it easier for Froch’s fans to come and see him. Copenhagen has direct flights that go there from Britain, and also there are a lot of things for fans to see in the city. In contrast, Herning is farther away, harder to get to and fewer attractions compared to Copenhagen.

As of now, there is still no official word as to where the fight will take place.
