Khan-Bradley will defiantly happen early 2010

khan64359By Peter Wells: Well the good news just keeps coming, as WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley’s promoter Gary Shaw and World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan’s promoter Frank Warren are hoping to arrange a super unification bout, most likely to be on the Mayweather-Pacquiao undercard. Don’t worry these aren’t silly little rumours, both promoters have been in talks since Bradley clearly outpointed challenger Lamont Peterson.

Honestly myself, I would go with Bradley to win this one, mainly because he has advantages in almost everything, and don’t bother saying size because look what happened to Peterson he took a beating for 12 rounds. This could well have a knockout on the card because of Bradley’s constant body attack, and if Khan goes to defend his body, Tim can go from body to chin in a blink of an eye. If Khan can win this it will be a huge statement and if it is to be on the Mayweather-Pacquiao super fight card then the whole world will see just how good he is.

Without Freddie Roach, Khan would be annihilated, but with Roach in his corner he has a serious chance, but they are the fighters and if it came to that I would have no doubt in my mind that Bradley would win. Freddie knows how to beat everyone, but doesn’t always have it go his way, he has built Pacquiao into a superstar, but it’s not really Roach who is winning the fights for him now, it’s just that Manny is that good. Khan is still being baby fed and hasn’t really been tested by a hard opponent yet, and this could prove very difficult in the ring. It may seem easy for Freddie to explain to Khan how to win, but it won’t be that easy to do it, and really Tim should win this fight.

If Khan is something special then he should win this but unfortunately he hasn’t fought anyone good enough to say he is the next superstar, and Bradley would be the one to expose that. So we may have to wait till this fight happens to see if Khan really is a force in boxing or just another contender like many other hopefuls who have failed at the first hurdle.

This fight hasn’t been made official yet, but expect it to be done and dusted quite soon, and this should get a lot of people talking. Bradley has already proved himself as a great fighter and can adapt to any style. At the moment I would go with Bradley because unfortunately I can’t just go with Khan’s recent fights as none of those fighters are in the same league as Bradley.
