Devin Haney defends his WBC light welterweight title next Saturday night against Ryan Garcia in the headliner on DAZN PPV on April 20th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The event begins at 8:00 p.m. ET, and the price is a cool $69.99 on DAZN if one has a subscription or the steeper, eye-watering cost of $79.99.
Empty Seats and Eye-Watering Prices
Tickets are still available for the Haney vs. Garcia fight at the Barclays Center. It’s unclear if the event organizers will have a big ticket giveaway due to the almost empty Barclays Center. They may need to have a big firesale to fill it.
Lowering the prices would be a good idea right now because it’ll be too late if they wait until a day or two before the fight. New Yorkers are balking at the steep ticket prices, as they don’t want to go into debt to see a fight that never interested them in the first place.

Expert Predict a Haney Win By Decision, Of Course
“I think Devin wins by decision. I think he has for sure the higher boxing IQ, and Devin’s athleticism is going to play a big part in that fight,” said boxing expert Mario Barrios to the Sean Zittel YouTube channel, predicting a win for Haney over Ryan Garcia.
“He’s got good length, and he has a damn good jab, and he picks his shots really well. He knows when to take risks and when not to,” Barrios continued praising Haney. “I think he may end up baiting Ryan into walking into punches and outboxing him. Yeah, I think so,” said Barrios when asked if Haney wins by decision.
Let’s hope Haney doesn’t use the same style he did in the Regis Prograis and George Kambosos Jr, forcing Ryan to chase around the ring all night. Fans are paying too much money to watch a bunch of clinching and see Haney holding them all night.
After Haney’s last fight, which brought in a reported 50K PPV buys against Prograis, you would think that DAZN had learned a lesson about putting this guy on pay-per-view because he can’t sell. His style is not fan-friendly.
