Dirrell–Abraham: The size difference could be too much for Arthur

Image: Dirrell–Abraham: The size difference could be too much for ArthurBy Scott Gilfoid: In looking at Arthur Abraham (31-0, 25 KO’s) and Andre Dirrell (18-1, 13 KO’s) in their recent photos at the media day, the size differences between the two fighters is fairly dramatic. Abraham looks practically teeny standing next to the 6’2” Dirrell and I think there could be some problems for Abraham to land his shots.

What jumped out at me in looking at the photos is not only how short Abraham is as a fighter, but the size of his head compared to Dirrell.

Predictions: Froch, Dirrell and Ward to come out on top

Image: Predictions: Froch, Dirrell and Ward to come out on topBy Dennis Broadhurst:

Froch-Kessler: I see this fight coming out with Froch on top through a hard fought decision or very late stoppage. I think Froch will struggle in the early rounds with Kessler but his chin will take him through to dominate the later rounds (9-12). I would not be suprised for Froch to be dropped early on much like against Taylor but then coming back. I don’t think Kessler likes taking a hit (not that anyone does) he will backdown later on when Froch comes on strong with his powerful punches, thinking he will need a knockout to win and may score a stoppage but will have the last round rally he needed. Both men will be great on the night but I see a tight victory for Froch.

Dirrell: “That man [Abraham] is dangerous”

Image: Dirrell: “That man [Abraham] is dangerous”By Scott Gilfoid: In the latest episode of Showtime’s Fight Camp 360, super middleweight Andre Dirrell (18-1, 13 KO’s) had a lot of praise for the power and skills of his March 27th opponent Arthur Abraham (31-0, 25 KO’s), saying “He [Abraham] lines you up so you can’t move and then brings that right straight down. It’s pretty, Man, and it’s fast. That’s why it’s harder than it looks to escape from, because he’s [Abraham] so explosive. That man is dangerous, period.” I hope Dirrell isn’t giving Abraham too much credit. The guy is good, but he’s not as good as Dirrell is making him out to be.

He [Froch] has a better chance against [Arthur] Abraham if you ask me, but I don’t think he’s [Froch] going to beat Kessler. He’s [Kessler] a great boxer. I think Kessler is the better man.”
