But, 32, fought a sloppy fight in his last bout against Carl Froch, losing by a 5th round TKO last May in a fight where Bute made a number mistakes that ultimately cost him the fight.

Bute said to Bravosovultau.ro, “I can not wait to see my fans again. After my loss people probably all thought that Bute’s career was over. But you will see that Lucian Bute is able to overcome difficult times and return to where he was.”

Bute, 32, was so disgusted with his losing performance against Carl Froch in his last fight in May that Bute decided he wasn’t going to do what normal fighter do by taking an easy fight to build back up his confidence while waiting on the Froch rematch, but instead move up to light heavyweight for this fight to take on one of the biggest punchers in the division in the 30-year-old Grachev. If Bute loses this fight to Grachev then Bute could lose out on his big money rematch against Froch.

It takes a lot of courage for a fighter like 32-year-old Bute, #5 IBF, #10 WBO, to face a guy with the kind of power and talent that Grachev has going for him given that Bute is coming off of a 5th round knockout loss to Carl Froch in his last fight.
