By Jim Dower: Perhaps the best new talent in the heavyweight division, undefeated 6’7″ 250 pound behemoth Tyson Fury (4-0, 4 KOs) faces a tough test in journeyman Mathew Ellis (20-6-1, 9 KOs) in a six-round bout this Saturday night on the undercard of Commonwealth welterweight champion Craig Watson vs. John O’Donnell at the York Hall, in Bethnal Green, London.
Tyson Fury
Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury, a British boxing giant standing tall at 6’9″ and tipping the scales at 278 lbs, has been ruling the heavyweight division with his iron fists since 2020. Not just a family man with a bunch of kids and a love story that dates back to 2008 with Paris, but Fury also boasts a record that reads like a warrior’s epic—especially his trilogy with Deontay Wilder (2-0-1, with 2 KOs) and a hat trick against Derek Chisora. Before claiming the WBC crown, he unified the heavyweight titles way back in 2015, only to take a brief hiatus from the throne. With a squad of fighting siblings by his side, Fury’s not just throwing punches; he’s crafting a legacy that’s as large as his frame. Tyson Fury’s net worth is estimated to be around £50million, according to Forbes magazine.

Fury Too Much For Swaby
By Nate Anderson: Last Saturday night, we saw perhaps the future of the heavyweight division when the 6’7″ Tyson Fury (4-0, 4 KOs), looking a great deal leaner than he had four months ago when he started his pro career in December, toyed with journeyman Lee Swaby (23-23-2, 11 KOs), stopping him at the end of the 4th round at the Aston Events Centre, in Birmingham, West Midlands. Fury, 20, stayed cool and composed as Swaby blitzed him repeatedly with strafing attacks, picking him off with short hooks to the head and body while Swaby was on the way in.

Fury Stops Peret
By Daniel Cann: In the third fight of his burgeoning career Tyson Fury faced in Daniel Peret, a Norwegian based Russian who was an experienced and brave veteran of 35 fights. From the opening bell the disparity in height, conditioning and youth was all too apparent. Fury at 6ft 9 simply towered over his barrel shaped opponent (mind you, I expect Fury will tower above most active heavyweights in the world with the exception of WBA Heavyweight Champion Nikolai Valuev!)
