McDermott, 29, has lost his last two fights to Danny Williams, losing one of them by a 12-round majority decision and the most recent one by a 12 round split decision in May 2009.

It’s maybe forgotten that we are boxing fans, who first and foremost want to be entertain by watching the best fighters in the best fights regardless of nationality. First and foremost I am a boxing fan. By that extension, I like to feel that I am non biased and objective. By the same standard, it means that I wanted Haye to whip Wladamir, Ricky to knock out Manny and Amir to batter Kotelnik, but we all know how that has turned out.

Fury Wants Bout With Samuel Peter

By William Mackay: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (6-0, 6 KOs) said that he thinks that a good opponent for him to fight next is former WBC heavyweight champion Samuel Peter (30-3, 23 KOs), according to Boxing News. However, Fury, 20, immediately said that his promoter wants him to work up to fights like that before taking a step up at against a fighter like Peter.

fury43521By Nate Anderson: No disrespect meant towards newcomer heavyweight David Haye, but I’m beginning to think that unbeaten prospect Tyson Fury (6-0, 6 KOs) might be the best heavyweight in all of the UK. I realize that the 20-year-old Fury hasn’t really beaten anyone of note other than Lee Swaby, Matthew Ellis and a handful of other low quality fighters. However, it’s the manner that Fury is dispatching them, the ease that he’s taking them out that is so impressive and what makes me feel that Fury could be the best there is.

News – Fury Wants Bout With Chisora

By William Mackay: Unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury (6-0, 6 KOs) wants a shot at Derek Chisora (10-0, 5 KOs), for June 13th. Fury’s promoter Mick Hennesy has already made an offer to Chisora’s promoter for the open date on the 13th next month, so now the ball is in Chisora’s court. Previously, Chisora said that he’d be willing to fight Fury at a days notice. Obviously, he meant that in jest but he seemed to see Fury as no threat to him.
