Joshua: Haye, Klitschko, Fury, Wilder, Chisora are the only ones that can test me

joshua9585By Scott Gilfoid: Despite the fact that unbeaten British #2 WBC heavyweight contender/prospect Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13 KOs) hasn’t yet faced a live body since he turned pro two years ago after winning a controversial gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics, Joshua feels that the only heavyweights that can test him in the division are Deontay Wilder, Wladimir Klitschko, David Haye, Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora.

Joshua seems to be assuming that he’d be able to get past heavyweights like Alexander Povetkin, Kubrat Pulev, Carlos Takam, Tony Thompson, David Price, Chris Arreola, Bermane Stiverne, Lucas Browne, Mike Perez, Bryant Jennings, Vyacheslav Glazkov, Andy Ruiz and Charles Martin.

Fury will raise his levels tenfold for Klitschko, says trainer

fury5555By Scott Gilfoid: Peter Fury, the trainer for unbeaten Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs), says he’s going to be training like never before to get ready for his important title fight against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) on October 24th in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Peter says Tyson has already lost 35 pounds of fat off of his 6’9” frame, and he feels he should be in great shape by the time that the fight takes place in three months from now. The fact that Fury is already taking off weight before training camp has even started suggests that he’s gotten out of shape since his last fight against Christian Hammer several months ago in April.

Hrunov protesting cancellation of Klitschko-Fury purse bid

wladimir0843By Jim Dower: Russian promoter Vlad Hrunov reportedly is protesting the cancellation of Monday’s purse bid for the Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tyson Fury fight. Hrunov had planned on making a huge bid of $18,242,232 to have the Klitschko-Fury fight staged in Russia.

With a bid that size, Hrunov would have had an excellent chance of winning the purse bid to have the fight staged in Russia. According to Fight News, Hrunov says the deal for the fight was reached 24 minutes after the deadline.

Deontay Wilder wishes Tyson Fury “good luck” against Wladimir Klitschko

1-DEONTAY WILDER VICTORY-06132015-5320By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) hasn’t even fought IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) yet, and he’s already looking past him towards a unification bout against WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder (34-0, 33 KOs) for next year.

Talk about your overconfidence. Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessey was able to reach a deal with Klitschko’s promoters at K2 Promotions earlier today minutes before the fight was set to go to purse bids in Panama.

Fury: I’ll KO Klitschko

fury5667By Scott Gilfoid: After complaining night and day for eons about wanting to get his big fight against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs), Britain’s Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) has his fight now scheduled against the Ukrainian on October 24th at the Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

It’s too bad that Fury is now going to have to actually try and produce in the ring rather than talking trash, because he’s really up against it in this fight. This is already looking like a mismatch of epic proportions unless Wladimir gets old overnight by October 24th.

Wladimir Klitschko to face Tyson Fury on October 24th in Dusseldorf, Germany

wladimir123By Scott Gilfoid: In what has to be construed as bad news for unbeaten #1 WBO contender Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs), his promoters at Hennessy Sports came to an agreement with K2 Promotions today, the promoters for IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) for a fight that will be taking place a little over three months from now on October 24th in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The agreement between K2 Promotions and Hennessey Sports means the purse bid that was scheduled for Monday has now been canceled. This doesn’t work out well for the 26-year-old Fury because if it had gone to a purse bid, there was a chance that one of the British promoters like Eddie Hearn from Matchroom Sport would have won the bid, and then scheduled the fight to take place in the UK.

Hearn hopes Fury beats Wladimir, wants Joshua to face him

hearn4By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn is really counting on unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) beating IBF/IBO/WBAWBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) in their fight later this year.

Hearn would like to match his fighter undefeated No.2 WBC Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13 KOs) up with Fury, because he feels it’s a fight that would be big enough to stage at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 fans in London, UK.

Hearn may bid on Fury vs. Klitschko fight, then stage it in UK

hearn7890By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn says he may fly to Panama to make a purse bid for the title fight between IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury if the two fighters are unable to negotiate the fight.

They have until Monday to come to an agreement. If not, then it’ll go to a purse bid where the highest bidder can put on the fight. Hearn doesn’t promoter either fighter, but he’d like to stage it in the UK, where it would be a huge fight. Hearn would be doing Fury a big favor if he won the purse bid and then stuck the fight at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Fury’s trainer thinks Haye doesn’t deserve Deontay Wilder title shot

haye4343By Scott Gilfoid: Peter Fury, the trainer for unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury, thinks that former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is trying to jump ahead of other heavyweight contenders in looking to get a title shot against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Haye, 34, hasn’t fought in over four years since being Dereck Chisora in 2012, and he’s talked recently of being interested in fighting the 6’7” Wilder. Haye hasn’t said when precisely he’d be looking to actually fight, but he’s definitely expressed interest in facing Wilder.

Haye: Fury isn’t good enough to beat Wladimir Klitschko

wladimir588By Scott Gilfoid: Former two division world champion David Haye has serious doubts whether fellow Brit Tyson Fury will ever make it into the ring to challenge IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Haye suspects that the 6’9” Fury won’t go through with the fight.

Haye ultimately sees Fury instead going in another direction by facing another opponent rather than stepping good in the ring against a guy he can’t beat. Haye feels that Fury hasn’t been fighting guys that actually hit back, and he’s not fought someone as big as the 6’6” Wladimir.
