Fury-Haye to be televised by HBO in U.S on September 28th

haye#2By Scott Gilfoid: American boxing fans will get to see what could be a very quick fight on September 28th between former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (26-2, 24 KO’s) on HBO from the Manchester Arena in the UK, according to Dan Rafael. HBO has decided to broadcast the all-British heavyweight clash between Fury and Haye, as part of a split triple-header.

There had been talk about it earlier this month about Haye-Fury being shown on HBO, but it was confirmed today.

The other fights on the triple-header will be WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevens (21-1, 18 KO’s) making his first defense of his title against Tavoris Cloud (24-1, 19 KO’s) from the Bell Centre, in Montreal, Canada.

Deontay will be working as high caliber sparring partner to help out the 32-year Haye for the 6’9” Fury. Haye needs a big heavyweight with super long reach to mimic the size of Fury. Haye already has 6’7″ Alexander Dimitrenko in the camp, and there’s talk that the 6’8″ Mariusz Wach will be joining him soon as well.

Haye hoping to become mandatory for Klitschko with win over Fury

haye #2By Scott Gilfoid: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) is hoping to get in position to become the mandatory challenger for a fight against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko if Haye can annihilate fellow Brit Tyson Fury in their fight on September 28th at the Manchester Arena in the UK.

Haye is already ranked #1 WBA, so it’s not exactly going to be difficult for him to get the mandatory spot by the World Boxing Association, not that it’ll help him any once he does get a title shot.

Haye: Fury’s going down for the 10 count

fury3By Scott Gilfoid: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) was amused to learn that Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) sees him as another Steve Cunningham for him to beat up in their fight on September 28th. Haye’s amused by it because he realizes he’s a much better puncher than Cunningham, and he remembers how Cunningham was able to put Fury flat on his back in the 2nd round from a right hand.

Haye says he’ll make sure he hits Fury hard enough to where he won’t be able to get back to his feet like he did against Cunningham. Fury won that fight by a 7th round TKO after putting a left forearm in Cunningham’s face to blind him and then hitting him with a sweeping right hand to the head with the left forearm still nicely in place.

By that point in the fight, Cunningham would have gone down with almost any feather-fisted shot that Fury threw, because he was just dog-tired.

HBO to televise Haye vs. Fury as part of three-site triple-header

fury2 (2)By Scott Gilfoid: American boxing fans will get an opportunity to see what is shaping up to be a David vs. Goliath match between the 6’2”, 214 lb. David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and the 6’9”, 250 lb. Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) in a British heavyweight showdown that HBO will be televising on September 28th from the Manchester Arena in the UK, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN. This fight will give Haye some visibility in the U.S to set up a future bout between him and Deontay Wilder once the Klitschko brothers are history.

The Haye-Fury fight will be shown as part of a three-site triple-header on HBO along with the light heavyweight clash between WBC 175 lb. champion Adonis Stevenson and former IBF champion Tavoris Cloud from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Stevenson should obliterate Cloud without too many problems.

Tyson Fury: I’m going to put Haye out of his misery

haye23423By Scott Gilfoid: Undefeated British heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) thinks former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye’s seen his best days, and he feels it’s his time to accomplish things in the sport of boxing, not Haye. Fury says he wants to finish off the 32-year-old Haye when he gets him in the ring on September 28th at the Manchester Arena in the UK.

The weird part is Fury is hoping that Haye comes in and tries to slug with him, because he thinks it’ll be easy to KO Haye then it would be if he fought defensively like he did against Nikolay Valuev.

Fury said “He’s had his glory days. He’s done what he’s going to do, and I’m just going to put him out of his misery, because this is my time to shine.

Dimitrenko helping Haye with sparring for Tyson Fury; Deontay Wilder to help too

dimitrenko434333By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight Deontay Wilder (29-0, 29 KO’s) is in the process of coming over to the UK to help former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) to get ready for his fight against unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) for their clash on September 28th.

Haye, 32, is already being helped out by the big 6’7” Ukrainian Alexander Dimitrenko and the 6’8” Richard Towers with sparring. But adding Deontay, 6’7”, will really complete the camp for Haye, as the power and the speed that Deontay has going for him with far surpass anything than the slow, light-hitting Fury can bring to the ring in this fight.

Haye v Fury preview

haye#4by AML: Back in 2004, my parents had decided to take a fortnight holiday to Tenerife, leaving this 21 year old football fanatic to babysit their home. Bored one particular evening, I decided to flick through the TV channels to see if there was anything on the television that could alleviate this problem.

After ten minutes of bypassing some of the worst TV imaginable, I was successful. Never being one for Boxing yet never disrespecting it, it’d always just bypassed me like someone elses car on the motorway. It was just there, yet there was no warm or ill feeling towards it. However, on this particular evening a young 23 year old Bermondsey boy by the name of David Haye was taking on the mighty veteran Carl Thompson in a fight that the experts believed would initiate a changing of the “Cruiserweight” guard.

Haye still wants Deontay Wilder for sparring help for Fury

wilder04By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) is still holding out hope that the 6’7” unbeaten heavyweight Deontay Wilder (29-0, 29 KO’s) will lend a hand in preparing him for Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) by working as a sparring partner for Haye’s September 28th fight in Manchester, UK.

Maybe Haye didn’t get the word, but Deontay already said that he’s interested in staying in the U.S to sit at ringside for the September 6th fight between Chris Arreola and Seth Mitchell.

Deontay will be facing the winner of that one. Besides that, Deontay is heading towards super stardom and mega riches in the next 2 years. Deontay is going super rich in the near future, and he’s not going to need to be spending time in between fights helping out Haye every time he takes on a huge heavyweight.

Fury: Haye is going to sleep on September 28th

fury5333By Scott Gilfoid: The light hitting heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) is predicting a knockout of former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) in their fight next month on September 28th at the Manchester Arena in the UK. In other words, Fury thinks he’s going to accomplish what IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko couldn’t do and that’s knock Haye out.

Not only is Fury flapping his gums about being able to stop Haye, but he’s also included the talented American heavyweight knockout artist Deontay Wilder on his list of heavyweights that he thinks he stop.

Fury said on his twitter “Hayemaker is going to sleep September 28 in my hometown of Manchester UK. Be there or miss the biggest heavyweight fight in British history. Line these b*** heavyweights up: Haye, [Seth] Mitchell, Wilder, Klitschko; line them up and I’ll knock them down. ASAP [as soon as possible], please.”
