Image: Mosley-Berto: Shane needs this win to get to Mayweather or PacquiaoBy Jim Dower: At 38-years-old, this may be World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley’s last chance to get a big money fight against either Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao. But for Mosley to get to a big money fight, he will have to get by WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (25-0, 19 KO’s), a fighter that is 12 years younger than Shane and who’s fought half as many pro fights during his young six year career.

Mosley, 38, has been in against the much better competition during his career, facing the likes of Winky Wright, Fernando Vargas, Oscar De La Hoya, Vernon Forrest, Ricardo Mayorga, Luis Collazo, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito and Raul Marquez.

Floyd Mayweather’s options: Mosley, Bradley and more

Image: Floyd Mayweather’s options: Mosley, Bradley and moreBy Peter Wells: In boxing it’s become a sport where fighters seem to run out of opponents or they think they have. Most of the time they don’t want to fight other top fighters, and decide to fight opponents who don’t stand a chance. This is why people say boxing is going downhill, but you still get fighters who fight the best, like Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez and even Ricky Hatton who’s never been scared to go up against the pound for pound best.

Review of the year: A look at the good and bad of 2009 in boxing Part 1

Image: Review of the year: A look at the good and bad of 2009 in boxing Part 1By Michael Taylor: This year has been an up and down year, with plenty of complications and drama, it has also had tragedy and the making of many new champions, spectacular knockouts and terrible decisions, justice has been served but some not. After a hectic year I am going to review the year month my month on the big events that took place. There have been plenty of bad times this year, we have lost some great young fighters, but it will be balanced out with the good of this year, the emerging of future greats and the retirements of some legends of the ring. This is my first full year of being a boxing fan and now I have the chance to review it.

Why Mosley would beat both Mayweather and Pacquiao

Image: Why Mosley would beat both Mayweather and PacquiaoBy Peter Wells: I know most people will think, what is this guy talking about, but if you look at the way these fighters fight, Shane Mosley would beat both Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao. I have stated how much I believe Manny or Floyd should fight Shane Mosley, and this is to say how and why he would beat both fighters and become the best boxer in the world.

I don’t think I have much trouble convincing a lot of you that Mosley would beat Mayweather, especially after hearing what you said after my first article about Sugar Shane.
