Manny Pacquiao boxing news
Roach knows Pacquiao would outwork Mayweather, but not sure if that would be enough to win
Roach: Pacquiao’s next opponent down to three names – Bradley, Cotto and Peterson
By Chris Williams: It looks as if 38-year-old Juan Manuel Marquez has already been excluded for Manny Pacquiao’s next fight whenever that is. Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach is saying that he spoke with Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum and the names they were speaking about are Timothy Bradley, Miguel Cotto and Lamont Peterson.
Why isn’t Pacquiao speaking up and telling Arum he wants Mayweather in May?
Schaefer: Arum is full of s**t! He doesn’t want the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight
By William Mackay: Richard Schaefer was disgusted with the excuses that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum made for not wanting to match his top fighter Manny Pacquiao up against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th in Las Vegas. Just yesterday, Mayweather’s attorney’s convinced a Las Vegas judge to allow Mayweather a delay of his 90 day jail term to start on June 1st instead of January 6th in order for Mayweather to fight a huge $100 million fight against Pacquiao, one of boxing’s biggest moneymakers.
De La Hoya laughs at Arum’s excuses for keeping Pacquiao away from Mayweather fight
By Chris Williams: Oscar De La Hoya thought Bob Arum’s excuses were comical for him not allowing his fighter Manny Pacquiao to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th. I’m not sure if Arum is aware how bad his excuses are making him and Pacquiao look, but he really needs to quiet down because he’s making look obvious that he doesn’t want to see Pacquiao in a risky fight where the outcome might be bad for him.
Arum: What if Pacquiao started bleeding from the first punch from Mayweather?
By Chris Williams: Promoter Bob Arum was forced to think at warp speed earlier on Friday when facing questions from ESPN writer Dan Rafael as to why Arum wouldn’t go ahead and match his fighter Manny Pacquiao up with Floyd Mayweather Jr. next on May 5th after the news broke about Mayweather’s 90-day jail sentence being delayed from January 6th to June 1st.
It’s time for Pacquiao to force the issue with Arum
By John F. McKenna (McJack): It is now time for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) to take control of his life and force the issue with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum with regard to who he fights next. With WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) having the judge delay the start of his jail sentence through his attorneys until June Manny does not have a leg to stand on if the fight does not happen now.
Arum: Pacquiao can’t fight Mayweather on May 5th because we want a bigger arena
By Chris Williams: In the latest news involving Bob Arum making excuses for why he can’t match Manny Pacquiao up with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th, Arum is now saying he can’t make the fight because the MGM Arena, where Mayweather wants to fight on May 5th, is simply too small and inadequate for the fight.
