Inkin/Balszay, Barashian/Erdei Results
By Simon Hirst: In a fight for the WBO super middleweight title, unbeaten Russian champion Denis Inkin was dethroned by Hungarian challenger Karoly Balszay in a unanimous decision in what could be seen as a shock result in the super middleweight division.
Inkin, who was making his first defence of his WBO title, stood toe to toe in an entertaining fight, and looked in the lead in the first six rounds by putting pressure on Balszay. However, Inkin allowed Balszay to fight his way back into contention and Balszay put him under pressure in the last few rounds with precise counter-punching that rocked Inkin to nick the fight 115–113, 116–112, 116-112.

Karoly Balzsay Stops Jose Alberto Clavero
By Erik Schmidt: Undefeated super middleweight contender Karoly Balzsay (19-0, 14 KOs) stopped Jose Alberto Clavero (28-7-1, 14 KOs) in the 5th round of a scheduled 12-round title belt for the WBO Inter-Continental super middleweight title on Saturday night at the Gerry Weber Stadium, Halle, in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Balzsay, 28, originally from Hungary and now fighting for Universum in Germany, took Clavero out with a short left-right combination in the 5th round.
The knockdown was somewhat odd in that after Clavero was hit with the two quick shots, he went ahead and threw a right hand of his own, then circled around and got in fighting position, as if he were getting ready to continue fighting. It was then that he fell to the one knee, partially holding himself up with one arm, trying to clear his head. It must have been at least two or more seconds that elapsed after Balzsay had landed his hard combination to the head, making it seem strange the way he suddenly dropped after such a lengthy period of time.
