GBP: No discussions for a Mayweather-Morales fight
By Chris Williams: There has been no such discussions for a May 5th fight between WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KOs) and Erik Morales (52-7. 36 KO’s) according to news from Dan Rafael, who spoke with Morales’s promoters from Golden Boy Promotions about the issue. A day earlier, Bob Arum, the promoter for Manny Pacquiao, said that Mayweather is looking to fight Morales on May 5th rather than Pacquiao. However, it looks like Arum was just guessing without knowing what’s happening.
