By Dan Ambrose: IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs) has made a lot of noise lately in saying that he’s going to come punching in his unification fight against IBF/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) on October 17th this month in their fight on HBO pay-per-view.
Abel Sanchez, the trainer for Golovkin, wants the fight to be an exciting affair with both guys throwing leather from start until the bitter finish. Lemieux has always been a slugger during his career, and that’s why Sanchez is hoping that he sticks to his original style of fighting so that Golovkin doesn’t have to chase him around the ring all night long like he’s been forced to do against some of his opponents.
