By Duke Pahulu: The Ring just posted their latest P4P list. The top three of Mayweather, Ward and Marquez are solid picks. I have a problem with the rest of the list. I thought the pound for pound list was created to put a spotlight to the divisions below heavyweight.
I don’t know why they keep putting heavies on the list. Wlad is a great fighter but being the Heavyweight Champion should be good enough. Abner Mares had a great win against Daniel Ponce de Leon but he shouldn’t be this high up the list. You can say that he has titles at three divisions but he was the man at only 118. Its not as though Mares just beat the featherweight champ in Mikey Garcia. Number six has Adrien Broner.

It was the second time that Brook had suffered an injury during the training camp, and that was the final straw as far as Alexander goes because he chose to move on and fight Lee Purdy instead. 
By Dan Ambrose: Trainer Robert Garcia doesn’t see any point in Floyd Mayweather Jr. fighting the much heavier WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at 154 because he sees that as being too much of an advantage for Canelo because he’s so much heavier than Mayweather and stronger than him.

By Allan Fox: WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) sees his fight next month against Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) on June 22nd as being one of the easiest fights of his career when they meet up at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. 
By Scott Gilfoid: WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns had had at least two chances to fight WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner and both times he’s chosen not to take the fight with him. Burns’ trainer Billy Nelson says he’s hoping that Broner will move back down in weight to fight Burns in the near future, although he says Burns would move up to 140 to fight him if the opportunity presented itself to him.
