In late February the beans were spilled and the name of WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31 KO’s) was officially revealed at the expense of Amir Khan. Actually it was not surprise at all. The highly entertaining victory over former WBA 147 lb champion Adrien Broner was the decisive factor.
