Saul Alvarez: Is he as good as his fans think he is?

It will bring in huge amount of PPV buys and will certainly be one of the biggest nights of both fighters careers.
Golden Boy hope that this will be the first huge night in the career of one of boxing’s potential new money making machines. However, Alvarez has only been tested at the top level once in his career against former WBA light middleweight champion, Austin Trout (26-1-0,14ko’s).
Will Kell Brook become World Champion?
By JK James: Taking Amir Khan out of the equation, Kell Brook (29-0-0,19ko’s) is Britain’s current leading light in the Welterweight division and has the potential to become a big star not just in Sheffield, but the entire country, the same way his Matchroom stalemate Carl Froch has.
After his destruction of Hector Saldivia in 3 rounds, it seemed Kell was ready to challenge the elite of his division after a incredibly successful apprenticeship. However after his fight with current IBF champion Devon Alexander (25-1-0,14ko’s) was postponed as many as three times due to injuries in both camps, his push for a world title has taken somewhat of a backward step.
Barker, Bellew, Quigg: Future world champions
By JK James: Anyone who follows British boxing and in particular boxing on Sky Sports are aware that Eddie Hearn has all but secured three of his fighters world title shots. Darren Barker (25-1-0,16ko’s) has a an upcoming shot at Daniel Geale (29-1-0,15ko’s) for the IBF middleweight title, Adonis Stevenson (21-1-0,18ko’s) has reportedly been ordered to defend his WBC light heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Tony Bellew (20-1-1,12ko’s) and Scott Quigg (26-0-1,19ko’s) has been ordered to fight for the vacant WBA super bantamweight title against Yoandri Salinas(20-0-1,13ko’s).
In my opinion all three of these upcoming fights are legitimate opportunities for Matchroom fighters to win world title’s unlike the efforts of Gavin Rees in his hearty effort against Adrien Broner and the instantly forgettable fight between Lee Purdy and Devon Alexander. Here I will look at each fighters credentials in there attempt to win there maiden world championships.
