Zuffa Boxing boss says he has no issue meeting Eddie Hearn but insists his promotion will keep competing for the sport’s biggest fights
Dana White says he enjoys seeing boxing’s longtime rivals work together after years of public feuds, even as he insists Zuffa Boxing will continue competing for the sport’s biggest fights. The UFC CEO also said he has no issue meeting Eddie Hearn if the opportunity arises.
“All these guys that hated each other six months ago are all buddies and on the same network and trying to work together. I love it,” said Dana at Sunday’s press conference.
White made the remark while responding to a question about the recent cooperation between rival promoters, organizations, and broadcast partners. Earlier in the press conference, he said he had no personal issues with Eddie Hearn and would have no problem meeting him if asked, but added that Zuffa Boxing would continue competing for fighters and major events regardless of any discussions.
The comments came after several questions about a proposed “peace summit” involving White, Hearn, and Turki Alalshikh. White said he had not previously heard about the idea, but made it clear he has no issue sitting down with rival promoters if the opportunity arises.
The growing cooperation across boxing has become one of the sport’s biggest talking points in recent months. Longtime rivals have increasingly worked together on major events and broadcast agreements, a noticeable shift from the fragmented business model that defined the sport for years.
Dana has repeatedly insisted Zuffa Boxing intends to compete rather than cooperate with established promoters. Saturday’s comments continued that message while highlighting his amusement at seeing familiar rivals become more willing to work together as the sport’s business landscape continues to evolve.
