Troy Isley is no longer under contract with Top Rank, according to a letter posted by the fighter confirming his release from the promotional company.
The letter, sent by Top Rank’s general counsel, states that Isley “is no longer under an exclusive promotional contract” and is free to discuss bouts and promotional rights with third parties without restriction. The development was first reported by BoxingScene.
Isley, 27, signed with Top Rank in January 2021 and made his promotional debut one month later. Later that year, he competed in the Tokyo Olympics, which had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Isley won his opening bout at the Games before losing a decision in the second round to Gleb Bakshi, who went on to secure a bronze medal.
Since turning professional, Isley has compiled a record of 15-0 with five knockouts. His activity has slowed in recent seasons. In 2025, he fought once, earning a decision win over Etoundi Michel William in June. That bout took place on an undercard originally scheduled to be headlined by Keyshawn Davis vs. Edwin De Los Santos, a fight that was later canceled after Davis failed to make weight.
Isley is currently ranked No. 4 at middleweight by the WBO and No. 9 by the WBC. He resides in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C.
Top Rank has not announced a new broadcast partner since its long-running agreement with ESPN concluded earlier this year. The company has not commented publicly on Isley’s release.
In a message posted on social media, Isley thanked Top Rank for the opportunity and indicated he is open to discussions with promoters and managers regarding future opportunities. No new promotional agreement or bout has been announced.
Isley has not provided a timeline for his next fight, and his future plans remain unclear.
