Ryan Garcia Rips Haney for Dragging Up Old PED Drama

Ryan Garcia went after Devin Haney on social media today, responding to his trashing him over his failed PED test after their fight in April 2024.

Haney reminded his followers today on X that Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) “failed” a test with VADA. The failed test came after his victory over Devin, in which he dropped him three times and had him on the verge of being stopped in the seventh.

Garcia replied to Haney, letting him know that he “can’t take a loss,” and that’s still trying to whitewash what happened to him that night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

“He failed the state commission test & the VADA test. Stop the cap, that’s why he looked like s***, his next fight [against Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero] when he was clean after we made him do testing for 6 months straight,” said Devin Haney on X, talking about why he lost to Ryan Garcia.

It’s unclear why Haney has chosen to discuss the events of his loss to Ryan. He’s already been suspended, fined, and his victory result changed to a no-contest by the New York State Athletic Commission. It would be better for Haney to sit back and hope Garcia wins his next fight against Mario Barrios on February 21st, 2026, rather than bring up his positive test from their fight.

“You can’t take a loss on the chin. It’s sad. You looked like s*** the very next fight [against Jose Ramirez]. What was your excuse?” said Ryan in a rebuttal to Haney on X.

“I obviously took something tainted, or it was tampered with; that’s a fact,” said Garcia on social media. “Get over it. I didn’t train for the year after the Haney fight, and it showed in my next fight. My body couldn’t rebound that quick or my mind. Stop being a b*** and take an L, stupid.”
