There are nine days remaining until Conor Benn is back in action, as Ring Magazine is selling tickets for the “Unfinished Business” on DAZN PPV in his rematch with Chris Eubank Jr. on November 15.
Nine Days And Counting
Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) and Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs) are winding down to their 12-round rematch at middleweight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham in London.
In a post this morning on X, a short video clip of Conor Benn, 28, is shown, as he obliterates the hapless 37-year-old former WBO light welterweight champion Chris Algieri in the final fight of his career on December 11, 2021.
Benn looked devastating in the clip, knocking Algieri out cold in the fourth round. Algieri’s career had already begun to fall apart years earlier, when he lost three out of four fights between 2014 and 2016.
Tickets are still available for the Eubank Jr. vs. Benn 2 event. The reports are that it’s selling well. British fans still have an appetite to see the two together, despite the finality of their previous contest, which took place earlier this year on April 26, 2025. The event sells for $59.99 on DAZN PPV for U.S fans and £24.99 for the UK public.
Eubank’s Tactical Blueprint
The more experienced Eubank Jr. used his size, combination punching, and inside fighting ability to beat up Benn, winning a 12-round unanimous decision by the scores 116-112, 116-112, and 116-112. Conor appeared in trouble at times in the later rounds when Eubank Jr. took over the fight with his nonstop shots.
Benn, who is a potshot-type fighter, lacked the offensive skills and defense to handle the fighting style that Eubank Jr. brought to the table in that contest.
Assuming Conor fails to score an early knockout, the rematch will likely be more of the same on November 15th. His archaic, single-shot rifle shooting style doesn’t work against the rapid-fire style that Eubank Jr. employs.
Benn’s One-Shot Problem
Benn is too reliant on scoring knockouts with his power and has failed to adapt his game to throw combinations. It would require not only a change in style but also conditioning. He would need to improve his stamina to match Eubank Jr’s output. Benn hasn’t shown the ability to throw in high volume during his career.
Matchroom’s Soft Feedings
Much of that has to do with the low-level opposition his promoters at Matchroom have fed him. Benn’s opposition has crumbled quickly under his power. So, he’s not been forced to adapt his game. Benn should have stepped up against true world-class-level fighters years ago.
