Bradley Says Haney Still Looked Nervous and Gunshy

Tim Bradley unleashed his unfiltered thoughts on Devin Haney’s performance from last weekend, questioning whether he still looked a “little gunshy” in his victory over WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr.

For the past three days, the boxing Hall of Famer Bradley had given Haney (33-0, 15 KOs) his flowers for his upset 12-round unanimous decision win over the previously unbeaten Norman Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs). But today, Tim was like a dam bursting open, laughing as he discussed Haney’s leery way of fighting Norman Jr., fighting like he was tiptoeing through a minefield filled with anti-personnel mines. He looked like a worried soldier.

“I don’t feel like myself as of Saturday. But did anybody see what I saw? Didn’t Devin still look a little gunshy?” said Tim Bradley on his channel before bursting into laughter, discussing the timid look to Devin Haney in his fight against WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. last Saturday night.

It took Bradley long enough to give him thoughts on Haney’s performance, as he’s been roasted by countless fans for the holding he did to prevent Norman Jr. from throwing punches.

“I can’t be stopped. I won’t be stopped. I can’t shut up. Never. You can never get rid of me, big dogs. He looked still a little gunshy. You won the fight. Good job, Dev, but let’s just keep it a buck. I let it be for a couple of days. I gave you your props. You did your thing, but you still looked gunshy, my boy,” said Bradley about Haney.

Haney landed 70 punches of 271 in the 12-round fight with Norman Jr. That’s a low number for a welterweight to be landing and throwing. The 70 connects match Haney’s numbers for his previous fight against Jose Ramirez on May 2, 2025.
