WBC Int’l and EBU Euro super featherweight champion Ryan ’The Piranha’ Garner (18-0, 9 KOs) knocked out British and Commonwealth champ Reece ‘The Bomber’ Bellotti (20-6, 15 KOs) at 0:45 of the 12th and final round on Saturday night at the Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth, Dorset, UK
In the first five rounds, Garner had the edge, outworking Bellotti. In the sixth round, Bellotti finally put it together, taking the round and drawing blood from the nose of Garner. In the seventh round, Bellotti got a small cut on the outside corner of his left eyebrow—another close round. In the ninth round, Bellotti would grab Garner into clinch after clinch.

In the tenth round’s halfway point, Bellotti landed a left to the chin of Garner. In the final minute, Garner again outlanded Bellotti. In the eleventh round’s final minute, Garner rocked Bellotti with a left hook on the chin. In the twelfth and final round, after half a minute, Garner rocked Bellotti with a left hook on the chin, knocking him back into the ropes, when referee Victor Loughlin had seen enough and waved it off.
Commonwealth and IBO Continental cruiserweight champion Aloys ‘The Animal’ Junior (Youmbi) (11-1, 9 KOs) defeated former WBO European champion Ellis Zorro (18-3, 7 KOs) by a 10-round unanimous decision for the vacant WBC International cruiserweight title.
In the first round, Aloys had an edge. In the next two rounds, there was little action. In the fourth round’s final minute, Aloys wrestled Zorro to the canvas. In the fifth through the seventh rounds, Zorro had an edge using his jab. Too much clinching in this one.
In the eighth and ninth, it was more of the same. In the tenth and final round, Aloys took a close round.
The scores were 97-93, 98-93, and 96-94. Lee Every was the referee.
Midlands Area junior middleweight champion Amir ‘The Knockout King’ Abubaker (9-1, 6 KOs) was knocked out by southpaw Carl ‘The Chosen One’ Fail (11-0, 4 KOs) at 2:03 of the eighth round of a scheduled 10 rounds for the Midlands Area 154-lb title.
In the first round, the taller Fail out landed Abubaker, rocking him several times. In the second round’s last seconds, Fail landed four punches to the body and head of Abubaker. In the third round, Fail controlled countering with his jab, having the reach. In the final seconds, Abubaker had failed against the ropes with a flurry of punches.
In the fourth round, Abubaker continued following Fail around the ring with both landing about the same. Abubaker, in the final minute, had a cut on his right eyebrow. In the fifth and sixth rounds, Fail used his jab well as Abubaker only got in some combinations a few times.
In the seventh, Abubaker is frustrated at not getting through the defense of Fail and getting countered. In the eighth round, Fail landed half a dozen unanswered punches, starting with a left hook, dropping Abubaker at the foot of the ropes as referee Kevin Parker waved it off without a count.
Super flyweight Tony ‘Lightning’ Curtis, Jr. (11-1, 3 KOs) defeated southpaw Charles Tondo (16-10-3, 7 KOs) by a six-round points decision.
In the first round, a protégé of Roy Jones, Jr., Curtis had his way in the first half of the round before Tondo landed several punches. In the second through fourth rounds, it went back and forth, with Tondo being the aggressor, only to be countered by Curtis.
In the fifth round, Tondo almost didn’t come out for the sixth after a tough round. In the sixth and final round, Curtis got the edge in a close fight.
Referee Mark Bates scored it 59-55.
Super Middle Taylor Bevan (5-0, 5 KOs) stopped Zdenko Bule (15-16, 3 KOs) at 0:43 of the third round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the third round, Bevan dropped Bule in a corner for an 8-count from referee Lee Every, who waved it off upon Bule rising.
Super Welter Mason Payne (5-0, 2 KOs) knocked out Octavian Gratii (8-89-4, 4 KOs) at 0:49 of the fourth round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the fourth round, Gratii injured his left leg, causing referee Rocky Israel to wave it off.
Cruiserweight Iman Zahmatkesh (5-0, 4 KOs) knocked out southpaw Ryan ‘The Problem’ Labourn (0-33-2) at 2:34 of the fourth round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the first, Zahmatkesh dropped Labourn with a right on the chin. Lee Every was the referee.
Super bantamweight Hassan ‘Shooter’ Ishaq (1-0, 1 KO) stopped Brandon ‘El Cabalito’ Vargas (3-8-1, 1 KO) at 1:27 of the third round of a scheduled four rounds.
In the first round’s final minute, Ishaq landed a pair of lefts to the chin of Vargas. Just before the bell, he landed a left to the chin of Vargas, knocking him back to the ropes. In the second round, Ishaq landed four rights to the chin, causing referee Mark Bates to wave it off.
Super featherweight Frankie Wood (2-0) defeated Cesar ‘Zurdo’ Ignacio Paredes (18-22-1, KOs) by a four-round points decision.
Referee Rocky Israe scored it 40-36.
