Lighweight contender Abdullah Mason has a chance to shine tonight against Jeremia Nakathila in a 10-round headliner at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Mason (18-0, 16 KOs) has stepped up to save the show for Top Rank with Keyshawn Davis’ departure from the main event yesterday.

Abdullah Mason vs. Nakathila: Live Results

This is the biggest puncher that Mason has matched against. It’s a fight that will indicate whether he’s got the defense and punch resistance to operate at the top. It’s a fight that could turn Abdullah into a star overnight with fans if he obliterates Nakathila in a first-round KO.

Two years ago, Jeremia was knocked out twice in the second round by big punchers. So, Mason must focus on getting him out of there as quickly as possible tonight.

Nakathila (26-4, 21 KOs) will be targeting Mason’s chin tonight, hoping to take advantage of his reputation for being vulnerable to headshots by big punchers. A win for Nakathila, 35, would assure him a well-paying rematch against Abdullah.

Mason-Nakathila Start Time & Channel

Mason-Nakathila main card starts at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+. The preliminary card begins at 6:00 p.m. ET /3:00 p.m. PT on ESPN+.

In the chief support fight, Kelvin Davis (15-0, 8 KOs) takes a step up against Nahir Albright (16-2, 7 KOs) in a 10-round fight. It’s a risky fight for Kelvin, 28, because Albright has experience, speed, and talent that could cause an upset. Two years ago, Nahir came close to defeating Keyshawn in a 10-round majority decision loss.

Kelvin had been elevated from the prelim card to the main one after his brother Keyshawn was pulled due to his weight problems. That could be a good thing if Kelvin wins, but it also could end in disaster for him if he gets exposed by Nahir.

This is far from a sure-thing fight for Kelvin Davis. It’s more of a 50-50, and may even be 40-60 if Albright is in the same form he was when he fought Keyshawn.
