Jarrell Miller Arrested in Hollywood on Carjacking and Burglary Charges

Heavyweight Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller was reportedly arrested on Tuesday in Hollywood, Florida. The charges could sideline the New Yorker native Miller for a while, but not necessarily permanently halt his career.

According to ESPN, the 35-year-old Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs) was charged with “carjacking without a firearm or weapon and burglary with assault or battery.” He’s still in jail, being held on a $30,000 bond.

The heavyset 6’4″, 300+ lb ‘Big Baby’ Miller was booked into Broward County Jail.

This obviously isn’t good for Miller, as he put in a good effort before losing to the 26-year-old former WBA heavyweight champion Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois by a tenth round knockout on the ‘Day of Reckoning card last month on December 23rd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Miller fought well enough to be in demand by other promoters to be used as an opponent. As long as Miller doesn’t get prison time for this incident, he should be able to return to the ring to resume his career.

It’s unclear how the Saudis will view this incident because Miller would be a useless option for the likes of Agit Kabayel or Joseph Parker on some of their cards.

Many fans believe that if Miller were in better shape and more active with his career, he would have beaten Dubois, as he was giving him a lot of problems in the first four rounds before gassing out. The 2018 version of ‘Big Baby’ would have been too much for Duboi, and it wouldn’t have been competitive.

In Miller’s previous fight way back in March, he stopped Lucas ‘Big Daddy’ Browne in the sixth round in Dubas.

If Miller can get past this problem, he needs to lose a lot of weight and stay busy with his career because he can’t be at his best if he’s carrying around too much fat, and not active.

Miller has had bad luck with his career in recent years, missing out on a lucrative fight against Anthony Joshua in 2018 due to him getting popped on a drug test.

Andy Ruiz Jr. stepped in, picked up a $5 million purse, and stopped Joshua in the seventh round to earn a rematch, getting another $5M in December 20218. That could have been ‘Big Baby’ Miller who fought Joshua twice.
