By Allan Fox: Terence Crawford said today during the media workout that he plans on keeping his perfect record in Las Vegas intact by beating Errol Spence Jr by knockout on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena.

The overall energy & the look on Crawford’s face it’s like a man that knows he’s doomed, heading towards the first loss of his career.

It’s as if he knows he’s about to take a 36,000-foot plunge into the deepest part of the ocean, going up against the big fish, Errol Spence.

Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) looked slightly drained today, showing the effects of his weight loss to reach the 147-lb limit for Friday’s weigh-in.

Terence appears to have bulked up for this fight, packing on pounds, not all of it muscle, and hoping to use it to his benefit against the naturally bigger & stronger Spence.

The downside of Crawford bulking up is he’s now forced to lose a lot of water weight for Friday’s weigh-in, and he doesn’t look like a happy camper.

IBF, WBA & WBC welterweight champion Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) and WBO champ Crawford will battle this Saturday night, July 29th, on Showtime PPV from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The live boxing action begins at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.

Ray Flores: “Vegas is buzzing.  First of all, how was yesterday with the grand arrival in Las Vegas and now seeing the fans today. I feel like there are more fans today,” said Flores to Premier Boxing Champions during the media workouts. “I feel like it’s building that much more.”

Terence Crawford: “I feel great. I want to thank each & every one of you for taking the time to come out to the event.”

Flores: “I know you and Spence are proud family men. Do you have all your family here? Are most of them coming in over the next couple of days? Talk to us about how your focus on the task at hand, but I know you’re very proud spending time with your family.”

Crawford: “Well, of course, my family gets in tomorrow morning. It’s going to be great to see them and have them here with me for this special moment.

“It’s another day at the office, and I’m prepared for anything that comes with securing the victory Saturday. I’ve been here before, and now it’s a waiting game.”

Flores: “How is it in terms of being able to get your sleep and get your rest? I’m so excited for Saturday night that I can hardly sleep. How do you maintain and make sure that you get the proper rest?”

Crawford: “I just isolate myself in the room and don’t leave unless I have to.”

Flores: “What is your favorite part of fight week? Are you looking forward to the press conference tomorrow, the weigh-in facing him off? Besides fight night, what is your favorite part of fight week?”

Crawford: “Nothing. Let’s fight. That’s the exciting part. Let’s fight.”

Flores: “Alright, I know there are new fans that have made their way to Las Vegas and watching around the world, but let us know what they can expect in your fight against Errol Speencee Jr on Saturday night.

Crawford: “You can expect fireworks; you can expect the best Terence Crawford yet. I’ve trained tremendously hard. I’m pretty sure he’s trained hard. He’s going to come and try and knock me out. I’m going to try and knock him out. It’s going to lead to an exciting fight.”

Flores: “We’re in Las Vegas, but everyone knows you’re a legend in Nebraska, in Omaha. How much are you excited, and what do you want to tell the fans that have been supporting you from the very beginning in Nebraska and in Omaha?”

Crawford: “I want to let everyone know I’m undefeated in Las Vegas. Let’s continue that streak.”
