Demetrious Andrade says “GGG resume not as good at it seems”

By Jimmy James: WBO middleweight world Champion Demetrius Andrade stated in a live interview with Golden Era Boxing that Gennady Golovkin’s resume was not as good as the media makes it seem.

“His resume and his career is not as good as people think; he fought a lot of soft opposition and people on his way out,” said the undefeated champ,” said Andrade to Golden Era Boxing.

Andrade added that “other than Daniel Jacobs, which was a good fight for him, Dereyenchenko showed that if you come to fight and have no fear this is the type of fight you are going to give GGG, and many people saw him lose his last fight.”

Golovkin has avoided fighting Andrade ever since Andrade moved up to middleweight after Erislandy Lara decided to forfeit his contract at the last moment and fight Brian Castano instead.

In fact, every single fighter at middleweight has avoided Andrade because they simply do not want to lose against his slick awkward style.

The champ has to desperately call these fighters out, which mock the sport of boxing, which was once upon a time a real manly sport where all the champs fought against each other without excuse.

The sport of boxing has been tainted by cash cow prizefighters and bloated undefeated records, which are questionable to many true boxing fans.

The boxing media keeps calling Golovkin the “God of war” but he willingly avoids Andrade and Jermall Charlo, who is also avoiding Andrade. The excuse is that he is boring to watch, so what makes Kamil Szeremeta, Steve Rolls any more exciting?

Is Szeremeta a much better fighter than Andrade? The boxing fans need to wake up to what is going on inside boxing and start to smell the reality that many popular boxers are artificially conditioned commercial products.

Golovkin does not want to lose against Andrade because, in my personal opinion, he will get badly schooled, so he needs to find a Ryota Murata prototype to keep feeding his record.

Some boxing fans want to break down and accuse Andrade of not fighting anyone, but what is he supposed to do if they keep ducking him? Name one single fighter or champion that is calling him out right now.

No one is calling the champ out, so he is forced to fight boxers he doesn’t want. It’s the same thing they are doing with Gary Russell Jr and David Benavidez, which is to isolate them in a corner and then claim they do not fight anyone.

If Andrade changed his name to “I can’t box,” perhaps Golovkin would actually take the fight. Maybe Andrade has to put on a Szeremeta costume and pretend he is Polish to get the fight. Another way he could get the fight is if he just enters the ring next time Golovkin puts on a show against someone who no one cares about and forces himself into the fight.

As true boxing fans, we should support Andrade and fighters like Russell jr and Benavidez who want to fight the best and should not support boxers that are hyped up by the media, which say things like Canelo Alvarez did the same as Henry Armstrong; Vasyl Lomachenko is the better than Muhammad Ali, and Golovkin is the best middleweight in history. Maybe it’s time to reconsider boxing back in the 1990s and where we are now.

Andrade deserves respect in the game of boxing because he is trying to fight the best in his division to make boxing fans happy. Canelo Alvarez ducked him for a reason and gave up his chance to be the first Mexican middleweight to become undisputed in history and would rather take on Avni Yildrim or Rocky Fielding instead.
