1-LR_MAYPAC ARRIVAL-TRAPPFOTOS-9796By Allan Fox: With only three days to go before Saturday’s monstrous money fight between two of the biggest stars in boxing in Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, many fans are asking the question “how do I watch the Pacquiao – Mayweather fight?”

Well, for American boxing fans the answer is simple. The fight will be televised on both HBO and Showtime at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT. This is pay-per-view, meaning that boxing fans will have to shell out $89+ for standard definition and $99+ for high definition to see it on PPV.

That’s obviously a lot of money that you’ll need to give up, but if you like the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight enough, you’ll probably not mind too much paying those super high prices as long as this doesn’t become the norm in the future.

You’ll need to turn on your cable-equipped television and then go into the pay-per-view programming to pre-order the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, or you can simply call your cable company to speak with a representative to order it via phone. Either way will work.

For boxing fans interested in seeing the Mayweather fight outside of the United States, there are 22 other countries that are televising the fight. Of that 22, 5 of the countries will be televising it on pay-per-view. The United Kingdom will be televising it on Sky Box Office. In Mexico, the fight will be televised on both Televisa and Azteca. In Germany and Austria, the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight will be shown on Sky Select PPV. In the Philippines it will be shown on GMA Network, ABS-CBN, TV5. In France, it will be shown on BeingSport.

There’s also the potential option of going to your local bar and watching it on their television. You would need to call around to various bars to find out which ones will be televising the fight. With the price of drinks in bars, you might not come out ahead if you buy too many drinks, but at least you’d have company while watching the fight.

Leo Santa Cruz will be in the co-feature about against someone named Jose Cayetano in featherweight action. I’ve never heard of Cayetano in my life, but I’m sure that he’s someone that’s been checked out well by Santa Cruz’s management and deemed a worthy opponent. It’s the co-feature bout and I doubt that too many boxing fans will be focused on this fight because they’re obviouysly going to be purchasing the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight to see the main event, not a fight between featherweights.

Top Rank will have one of their top fighters WBO featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko defending against Galamlier Rodriguez in the first fight of the televised portion of the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight card. The Lomachenko-Rodriguez fight is pretty much the same as the Santa Cruz – Cayetano fight in terms of it being a mismatch where the A-side, Lomachenko, is going to have a huge talent advantage over his B-side opponent.
