Stevenson, 34, is coming into the fight as a favorite to win it based on a handful of knockouts over largely weak opposition. He’s got hand speed and pot shot power, but his chin is fragile and he’s very beatable as we saw in Stevenson’s 2nd round KO loss to Darnell Boone in 2010.

George has power on the same lines as Boone, but he’s got power to where he can hurt you with every punch he throws. But what makes the 27-year-old George especially good is that he’s got a fairly good chin. Sure, George was knocked out in the 7th round two years ago by Francisco Sierra, but his chin is better than that. George has knocked out a very good Cornelius White in the 1st round last year in February and he also has an eight round decision wins over Osumanu Adama in April 2010. That tells you how good George is. He’s really good against fighters that come straight him like Stevenson will be doing and all he needs to do is take Stevenson’s shots and answer back with his own punches and he’ll have an excellent shot at pulling off a big upset win.

Stevenson mainly gets his knockout wins in the early rounds, so the longer the fight goes the better the chances are that George can score a knockout.

George has problems against guys that run around the ring and try to avoid his power. Stevenson isn’t one of those kind of fighters, although his trainer Emanuel Steward will likely tell him to keep away from George. Stevenson won’t be able to because his whole fighting style is based on a seek and destroy mode and he can’t change what is natural for him.
