Image: Pacquiao needs to clean house if he loses to BradleyBy Chris Williams: With all the constant squabbling we’re seeing in Manny Pacquiao’s camp with trainer Freddie Roach talking about possibly trying to get him to dump strength trainer Alex Ariza, I think it’s time for Pacquiao to make some major changes if he ends up losing to Tim Bradley on June 9th.

Pacquiao needs to clean house completely by getting rid of Ariza, Roach and whoever else is hanging around him.

There’s no point in Pacquiao hanging on to those people at this point in his career. He needs new blood, a different outlook, and new training info. He can’s stay and stagnate with Roach and Ariza, and all those people that hang around him. I think the best thing for Pacquiao to do is move forward with his career, and that means getting rid of the whole lot of them.

I think Roach is a decent trainer but I don’t consider him the very best. He’s just someone that has a popular fighter and that in turn has attracted other fighters like a moth to a flame. It’s like these fighters think that Roach can magically make them better. With all the time that Roach spends juggling all these different fighters, I don’t see they come out ahead.

What Pacquiao needs to do is scout out a younger trainer that can move well, communicate ideas clearly, and who will have a lot of time to spend with him. I don’t necessarily think an older trainer is best because I think a lot of the older guys aren’t what Pacquiao needs. He needs someone that has been in the ring, and who was actually a good fighter in their prime. Pacquiao can get with them and clear his head of all constant bickering from where he’s training now.
